Post a CommentJump to Top Belief in yourself can get you through anything...Category: It's All About Showing Up Stories Published: Tuesday, September 06, 2011 I always wondered what people felt when their doctor gave them bad news. I myself have not been much of a doctor person over the years. Recently I had to give in and SHOW UP at my wonderful doctors office as I was having some knee pain. While I was there she asked me if I had any other problems and so I thought that I would share with her that I had been having a little breast pain on my left Breast for awhile. Being the great doctor she is, she gave me a referral to a Orthopedic doctor and also to a place to not only get a mammogram but a ultrasound on both breasts as well, which I did, and she also had me do my blood work. I guess she figured while she had me she better schedule me for the works. Well when I visited the Orthopedic doctor I was told I needed a Knee Replacement on my right knee and it was originally scheduled for Sept 26th, but that date has been changed to October 4th and now it will be changed again due to the other problem that was found that has to take priority over a knee replacement . I am getting use to the knee pain so I think I will just wait until the first of the year to do the knee. The Mammogram did not show anything but the Ultra sound showed three suspicious places so that meant that I had to have three biopsies which I did . The results came back, two were okay but one is an Invasive Lobular Carcinoma which is located on the left breast under the breast at a 4 o'clock posterior. On Wed when the doctors office called and said we have your results from the Biopsies I said "what are they" they said "Doctor has an open appointment at 3pm today and would like to see you", then I knew in my heart it was not good. I knew exactly which place it was at, and it turned out to be the place that I thought. I remember when she walked in and I saw the expression on her face I knew the news was not going to be great and when getting the news, although I tried to be tough, I found myself starting to cry and then really crying. The doctor handed me a tissue and said "it is okay to cry". She told me they had scheduled me the next day for an appointment with an oncologist. When I left the office my friend Leslie Guglielmetti who decided to go with me to be my morale support if the news was not good, took my keys and said I will drive you. I was quickly able to pull myself together as I have learned in life what ever hits you that you must face head on and do whatever you have to do. I said to her, "lets go to Boston Billie's a restaurant in town and have a glass of wine". We did that and then we came home and two other friends Sue Lopez and Darlene Tarnoski came over and it was wonderful to have their love and friendship around me and my spirits were lifted and I was again back to the ole positive Robbie. Also the day I had the Biopsies in Encinitas, June Davidson went with me, and TC Leary stopped in and left me a beautiful Rose plant and visited with June while I was having the procedure done which took several hours. The next day I had my appointment with the oncologist and he explained what I had, and what my options were. I selected to try and do a lumpectomy first, and he told me that if they went in and if they find it has spread or into my lymph glands then they would have to do a total removal and I told him I understood. Its amazing when you sign the consent form and they spell out all the things that might happen that you realize this is a serious operation, but never the less has to be done. They told me they could not do it the next week and I already had some commitments for the following week and the week after that my daughter would be out of town so I told him to schedule it for September 29th. So now I am awaiting Inland Valley Hospital scheduling department to call me and see if that day works for them, it works for my surgeon, but now to see if the hospital is available is the next thing. That date would give me time about a week and a half to get better before my other commitments start up again. Doctor also told me with the lumpectomy I would have to have radiation for five weeks everyday, so hopefully I can do it either early AM or late in the afternoon so I can do all the other things that I do in my life. Won't know the times I guess until the surgery is done. If they do a total removal than I do not have to have radiation so I guess that is one good thing if that is what has to happen but it is a little longer recovery as they put tubes in for drainage. Whatever it is, it is... One thing I have learned that Mammogram don't always tell it all, as if I had not had the Ultra Sound it would not have showed up. I am hearing from so many that rather than a mammogram one needs to do a breast thermography it is more accurate and shows more, what ever you do, just DO IT, as early detection is the thing that you want. I am grateful my knee hurt to make me SHOW UP at the doctor and that I told her about the pain in my breast otherwise I would not have know and instead of being small and in the early stages it could of continued to grow. Mine is a kind that does not have a lump so don't think all cancers have a lump as mine did not. I just had some breast pain not bad but I knew it was there and it was all over not just in one place. I know everything will be okay and I will be fine and Cancer Free and then I can get back and do my passion which is to help women learn to step out of the box and go for their dreams, and teach them the power of SHOWING UP and the Power of ASKING for what it is they want and need. I can't believe the outpouring of love and prayers everyone is sending me through emails, facebook and calls, and I am so grateful as its those prayers that will make me heal quickly and get rid of all the Cancer. Cancer was the last thing I thought I would get, as on my mothers side which was 14 children no one had cancer, but I never knew anything on my fathers side so perhaps his side is the one. I am so glad I am able to keep busy as it keeps my mind off of what is to come with the surgery and I can look forward to all my wonderful events I will be at until that day and then hopefully with a few days recovery I will be back out there doing fun things with all the wonderful people in my life. My dearest friends June Davidson, Dr. Sharron Stroud and my daughter Lisa Gritzner plan to be with me when I go to the Hospital so it will be nice to know I will not be there alone as I hate Hospitals. If it is just the lumpectomy I only will be in and out and that would be perfect but I guess if it becomes more than they probably keep you overnight, I am seeing in my vision just the In and Out one working and with all the prayers coming my way I am sure it will all work out just great. Remember it's all about SHOWING UP and SHOWING UP at your doctors office is also a good thing.. Also believe in your self and miracles will happen.........

Sometimes it is only one sentence that gives them an AH HA moment of "Wow this is just what I needed" and then they go back to their jobs and their lives and get excited about what is next. I know that in my life I have been told so many times that what I gave them from my presentation made a difference in their lives , and I know many of you who read this who are speakers and trainers have heard the same thing. We all have so much information to give, so as speakers our next step is to write our book, yet many of us have so many books in us but just never seem to find the time to get it on paper. I know I am one of those people as well. I have co-authored several E books, numerous articles and even chapters in books and been honored to write the forward in many published books, but to publish my own book I have still not done that task. I have tons of my own material that I have not taken the time to turn into numerous books. Yet I know I have encouraged many to complete their books over the years and stayed on top of them to complete them on time, and yet I have not done that for myself. Each year I say this year I will do that and then this year comes and goes and it is not complete. I know its because time which is so valuable. I find I rather spend helping others, but I just realized if I do these books I can continue in my task to help others. What I have decided that will work for me is to find a Personal Assistant and have her take all the things I have in my head and in power point presentations, and in articles and we will start reviewing and pulling off data and getting it all into the computer. Then we will outline the data, then we can start to put them into chapters and before I know it these books will start to come together and I can then publish them and get them out to others to help them achieve greater success in their personal and professional lives. Does this perhaps also reflect things you need to do to get your book done? Also there are so many ways for speakers to find speaking engagements both paid and unpaid, so I felt that I would also put together some articles on just how to do that as well, as I believe that SHARING strategies we all use can help us all in the speaking world to soar to greatness. So I plan to ask all the speakers I know, and there are many, to share a strategy they used to find speaking jobs and then I can put it all together and share the tips with other speakers. This can be ongoing as there are always new ways to do things and new places to be found that can help us all. Collaborations are the best way for us all to work together as its not about ME but what I can do for YOU that excites me. So my wonderful Speaker friends, lets journey together to a world of magic where we transform the world into great learning and success because each of YOU possess such talent to share. So take a look at this contract and read it and sign it and date it, as when complete you will have promised yourself that you would be doing these things and if you don't do them then you will be disappointing yourself. Also I find also that rather than writing down goals for 2011 if you would record them on a CD and play them in your car and listen to them everywhere you go, they will happen as they say if you hear something 21 days it gets impacted in your mind and automatically all those things happen, so why not make your personal goal for 2011, sign it and then record your individual goals and listen to them, it works a lot better than writing them down, as in the beginning we write them down and we perhaps read them for a few days and then the paper gets lost and that ends our ready of our goals and keeping them in front of us. Try the CD version as I know you will see great results.
Robbie Motter Personal Goal Contract
In pursuit of ultimate self realization and personal excellence in all dimensions of my life and in order to attain greater happiness for myself and others around me, I now finally and irrevocable commit to the persistent pursuit of the following life plan philosophies and goals:
Self-Identity I am a natural born winner. I was born with the capacity to succeed. It is my duty to mankind, to myself and my creator to fulfill my greatest potential. Success is my birthright. No one can deny it to me but me.
Essential Worthiness I am an inherently worthy person. I deserve all good things that happen to me. I deserve to be happy.
Ultimate Authority I cannot control other people or external circumstances but I am responsible for my own attitudes, actions and reactions in every situation. I am free because I exercise the power of risible choice.
Self Trust I trust myself, I am confident that in every circumstance, I have the ability to evaluate and the intelligence to choose that which is best for me. I am not afraid. I am as assertive as the situation requires. I think clearly and creatively under stress.
Life Dimension YESTERDAY...is lessons learned and growth attained. The actions I took and the decisions I made yesterday were based on the circumstances and the best knowledge and skills I possessed at the time. Wile I value the experience of the past; I realize that it cannot be changed so I waste no time or thought on what might have been.
TOMORROW...is opportunities unseized and challenges unmet and I am ready.
TODAY...I live
Constructive Control. My performance, achievements, lifestyle, peace and happiness are consistent with my positive self image. I practice constructive control of thoughts and concepts which I allow into my mind. I select and nurture those thoughts, ideas and concepts which strengthen my self image and self esteem. I immediately reject all input which is negative or which might detract from my achievement of personal excellence and ultimate self realization.
If my life is not all I desire it to be, It is what I am willing to settle for Or I would change it!
Financial Excellence Earning money is exciting and rewarding. I have constant unlimited opportunities to exchange my valuable time, knowledge and skills for a substantial income. My current annual income goal is $______________ and I will increase this amount by a minimum of ______% per year. I manage my income astutely, providing a comfortable life style for my family and investing a portion of every dollar in our future. These cumulative investments will soon grow to sufficient assets to produce an annual cash flow which exceeds my own earnings. This wise management of my money will give me and my family security and freedom of choice in our lifestyle. Opportunity I automatically create my own opportunities by the quality and quantity of productivity I require of myself each day. I instantly recognize opportunities for the accomplishment of my goals and act upon them immediately with boldness and confidence in a manner most appropriate to the desired results.
Obstacle Management I appreciate that problems, obstacles and challenges are life's tools for polishing the character, refining the soul and growing the spirit strong. I welcome the difficult as an opportunity to grow and mature as a human being.
Personal Relationships I am not a victim. I will not cooperate with persons who, consciously or unconsciously, wish to convince me that I am the author of their attitudes, the sponsor of their happiness or guilty because they choose to be unhappy or angry. I do not expect others to validate my essential worthiness or accept responsibility for my emotional welfare. I consciously cultivate the courage necessary to letting others know who I really am, knowingly choosing the risks of exposure and rejection above the pain of the personal denial of who I am. I accept the risks and responsibilities of love for family and friends, always showing enthusiasm for their goals and respect for their needs, striving always for greater understanding.
Personal Growth I daily grow and mature in spiritual, mental and emotional serenity and harmony. I daily expand my knowledge, skills and abilities, recognizing that my capacity for growth is unlimited. I daily seek a sanctuary for thought, reflection and creative rejuvenation. I nourish, cherish and respect my mind, body and soul as a unique gift.
Personal Excellence I daily demand the best of which I am capable, recognizing that God grants me the time and space of each day to be the best me I can possible be. The choice of using this precious gift wisely or foolishly is mine alone. Fair Trader I believe there is no such thing as a free lunch. Therefore, I am a fair trader – trading value for value. I trade persistence for results, work for production, production for rewards, dedication and performance for personal satisfaction and physical and mental discipline for a finely tuned mind and body.
I HEREBY VOW: Beginning this moment, I make the achievement of these life goals a reality by making the most enthusiastic contribution of which I am capable and rendering the fullest possible service in the capacity of (*)__________________________________.
THIS IS AN IRREVOCABLE CONTRACT I MAKE WITH MYSELF. Signed_______________________________________ Date______________
Remember when you sign this you are making a contract with yourself to achieve all that you agreed on. This is very powerful, sign it and keep the whole contract and read it and you will be amazed at the results.

Post a CommentJump to Top Amazing Things Happen When You Show Up:Category: It's All About Showing Up Stories Published: Thursday, November 18, 2010 "I got to reconnect with a friend that I knew in Roseville CA 25 years ago. Her name is Gillian Larson, and she Showed up because I was speaking at DSWA. Recently I had the opportunity to speak for the Temecula, CA., DSWA (Direct Sales Women's Assoc) and prior to speaking I posted on Facebook that I would be there. At the meeting in walks someone I had not seen for over 25 years, she saw on Facebook that I was going to speak and SHOWED UP. What a wonderful and delightful surprise. Her name is Gillian Larson and her daughter and my daughter were High School Classmates at Roseville High in Roseville, CA . The girls have continued their friendships to this day, and whenever my daughter and her husband go back East they always stop to see them. Gillian later moved to Temecula from Roseville, I knew she lived there but we never connected until today, and it was so wonderful to see her. She reminded me of the projects we worked on together in Roseville including putting together the first PROM where the kids remained locked in all night, and that is still happening at that High School today, and I remembered it was a great success and the kids had a great time and no one was out driving on Prom night. Also I knew that Gillian had been on "Survivor" and did watch the SHOW when she was on it, as my daughter had sent me an email that she was to be on the SHOW. You have to go to her website and check her out, but here is just a little information about her, Retired after working as a registered nurse for 41 years, Gillian Larson has never satisfied her appetite for adventure and travel despite her wide array of experiences throughout her 61 years. She has traveled through 46 countries and all but a few U.S. states, much of it backpacking. This adventurous "granny" can climb and rappel 4,000 foot mountains and swim with the Great Whites. Not only is she versatile, but she is competitive by nature and felt that she was a perfect fit for the game of SURVIVOR, having applied 15 times, always believing she would one day be selected, and guess what she was. Perhaps if you watch the show you can remember seeing her Gillian Larson - Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden Married 37 years to her husband, Ron, Gillian has three married daughters and four grandchildren. Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, she was awarded several academic and athletic honors. Gillian met her husband in Germany and moved to the United States. The couple has relocated 18 times and currently resides in Temecula, Calif. since 2001. Her proudest achievement is her awesome family. When she isn't scuba diving or hiking through the mountains, Gillian enjoys travel, writing, photography, gardening, spending time with her family and her eclectic group of friends who range from 2 to 92. So you can see what an amazing woman she is. Well she is also she is working on a fantastic project that is going to take place in Temecula, CA early next year, it is called REALITY RALLY and the website for the event is www.realityrally.com, they need lots of people for this event including volunteers and it sounds like it will be a blast. I already said I would volunteer and I will get the word out to all my members as well from my networks as she is going to be bring lots of reality stars to the event.![]() I thought I was SHOWING UP everywhere but when I heard some of the things she is doing I thought WOW I have met my match. She also loves to speak for groups about her adventure, I know that I am going to book her in to speak for my Murrieta For You/NAFE network and my South Orange County For You Network next year as I know that she will have an amazing story to share. Check out her website at www.gillianlarson.com and you will see for yourself. I can totally understand why she would not give up, as she has one dynamic personality and you love her the moment you meet her. It reminded me when a friend of mine and I did a video to submit to the Amazing Race, we did not get in but it was fun to do, perhaps had we been as persistent as her we might of made it. I think the exciting things we all need to do is to take chances and to step out of the box and be daring and bold and do things that perhaps might even be scary for us. Gillian since being on the show has made so many wonderful friends of Reality Show people , and as I said the event she is doing in Temecula next year will have lots of those people SHOWING UP. So I suggest you check out the website www.realityrally.com and see what its about, put a team together or just sign up to volunteer she has lots of different volunteer jobs as they will need many for the event. She is also looking for sponsors, door prizes and more but it is all spelled out on the website. Her phone is 781-962-7234 in the event you want to learn more about how you can be a part of this amazing day. Wow our own AMAZING RACE in Temecula, CA sounds pretty exciting to me. I am so thrilled our paths crossed again, as time really does not matter, as the Universe somehow brings us all back together somewhere as long as we keep SHOWING UP. Remember SHOWING UP is like a treasure map, you never know what treasure you will find, and I sure hit the jackpot by agreeing to speak and SHOW UP at the DSWA Temecula meeting. as in addition to Jillian, I got to hang out with great entrepreneurs like Yarka Parus, Paula Horning, Elizabeth Pratt, LaVonne Edwards, Kelley Lara, Dena Lansford and the dynamic President of the group Bonnie Clark, also Donna Baker-Olson one of my NAFE/For You members showed up also to hear me speak. She is working with June Davidson and I to put together our Sept 9, 2011 Alaska Trip and the Feb 29, 2012 14 day Hawaii trip and anyone can join us. Just email Donna at donna.escapetotravel@gmail.com or email me rmotter@aol.com, and I will send you the flyer or flyers for both events. What amazing women, the women of DSWA are they touch lives everyday and make a difference. DSWA will start their luncheon meetings again in January on the third Tuesday at 11:30 am at TGIF in Temecula. Great group, if you are in Direct Sales Marketing, I suggest you SHOW UP at their meetings. Bonnie Clark who runs the group is awesome.. So what was your SHOW UP story this week? I always love hearing them so email them to me at rmotter@aol.com

Post a CommentJump to Top WOW SHOWING UP can be so awesome!Category: It's All About Showing Up Stories Published: Friday, October 22, 2010 WOW SHOWING UP can be so awesome! Last night I SHOWED up at the Wildomar Chamber Mixer, a chamber I had not visited before, So I thought since it was being held at Guadalajara Restaurant in Lake Elsinore, CA and I had not been there, I thought I should SHOW UP and check it out. Well as all my adventures seem to be, it was an awesome event, I got to enjoy great food, I was able to tell 40 women about the March 8, 2011 International Women's Day and NAFE and give them literature,. Also my name got picked to do a ten minute talk at next months meeting (so I will have to SHOW UP again ), I met a top Executive from Harrah's Casino who offered to get me some door prizes for my upcoming NAFE Conference May 20 & 21st www.wrnafe.com in Orange County, CA as well as a bus to take Seniors from the Senior park I live for a day at their casino, as I am also going to be President again next year for the Social Club at my park (this will be my 4th time in the 20 years I have lived here that I will be President), I also met a high ranking person from the new Loma Linda Hospital in my area that is being built who I was going to call to come and speak to my Seniors next year. Best of all he said yes, he is calling me today to get the date. I met the owner of the restaurant a dynamic woman who offered to come and do cooking classes for both my NAFE women's group and the Seniors at my park FREE plus also offered door prizes for my conference and my senior group. I met two entertainers that are going to talk to me today, as I have been lining up my entertainers for the Senior park for next year and New Years eve 2011 was the only month I had not booked as our budget is low and most of the groups get much more on that night, but these two people said they could help me and work within my budget, I met some women who will be SHOWING Up at my next months NAFE Murrieta For You meeting, ran into a former member who will be coming back to next months meeting, and I ran into my Massage Therapist so booked an appointment for today. All the above happened at one event, that is why I am always saying that SHOWING UP is like a treasure map, you never know what treasure you will find. The Night before I showed up at another groups event in Riverside, CA at the Canyon Crest Winery, and found I had met the owner and his wife before, was able to share information on NAFE and my For You/NAFE networks and International Women's Day with al the women there, they will be donating a door prize for my NAFE conference in May, found five new prospects who will be showing up at my next NAFE Murrieta For You Network meeting and most of all had a great time. I even took a Senior couple from my park who had never been to a business mixer, as they are retired but they loved it, and said how warm everyone was and as we left they said "when is the next event we can go with you" as we had so much fun and it was wonderful to be with all ages and all ethnic groups, and both men and women. The reason I am sharing all this is I know we all work hard, we have so many things we are balancing and many times we get opportunities to SHOW UP somewhere and don"t, so we need to rethink those NO's and turn them into YES, as I guarantee you will be glad you did, you will find many treasures if you just allow yourself to SHOW IP and be open to what ever experience is there. I always SHOW UP with a goal in mind. My goal for the two events I went to were: Meet prospects for my NAFE networks, share why they need to become NAFE members, tell all the Women about International Women's Day March 8, 2011 in twelve cities across the US and give them the website www.internationalwomensday.org, find individuals willing to donate door prizes for my Senior group and my upcoming NAFE conference,www.wrnafe.com, see what I could do to also HELP THEM soar to greatness, but most of all to have FUN. As adding FUN to our lives is a good thing. So I want you to start thinking about ASKING for what it is you want, SHOWING UP with a plan and I guarantee you will be glad you did. Be sure and be part of International Women's Day March 8, 2011 go to www.internationalwomensday.org right now and sign up, become a volunteer, there are many cities that this event is being held. Many of our dynamic NAFE women are jumping in as leaders for this event, Sandra Levitin the CEO of Kalon Woman is the Leader for the International Women's Day event in Houston. Paula Constantino and Madeline Lewis are the team leaders for DC, and Pat Whitney from the East coast has jumped in to help, it is going to be an awesome event. I will be SHOWING UP at the LA event, but there are also many other cities to select to be a part of. Remember this is our time, a hundred years is worth celebrating, its also the same day of my 75th birthday so it will be a double celebration for me. I would love hearing your SHOW UP and ASK stories, so be sure and share them with me, email me at rmotter@aol.com and check out my other blog at http://blog.rmotter.com my website is www.rmotter.com So have a great SHOW UP day my friend, as its so powerful and magic does happen

Post a CommentJump to Top Remember it's Up To YOU to take Action.Category: Places to show up Published: Thursday, September 02, 2010 So SHOW UP opportunities you might want to check out. Remember it's Up To YOU to take Action. I always love hearing from individuals who take the information I send them and SHOW UP whether its on line or in person. I wanted to share an email that I got from one of our NAFE members who took the information I sent to her and many others and took action. Here name is Connie Harryman and she is in the East Coast. "Hello my wonderful Robbie, First, let me say "Thank You!" for connecting me with Deborah Levine, editor, American Diversity Report. With her terrific editorial skills, she helped me create a wonderful article that will serve as inspiration to many. It is entitled, "How a Latina Blogger Became an International Success." It is about my journey from Mexican-American migrant farm worker to being selected as a guest blogger at a major innovation conference in Europe. This is the link: http://bit.ly/9kHhe2 If you like the article, would you send it out to some of your networks so it will continue to inspire many to dare to achieve their fullest potential? Again thank for connecting me with Deborah Levine. It seems we both "showed up." With much love, Connie Harryman Applied Concepts Creativity Creativity Developer C: 864-525-1100 www.AppliedConceptsCreativity.com Unleash Your Creative and Economic Prosperity!" This is the second time Connie took one of my opportunities I sent her and acted on it and it worked. Deborah Levine, editor, American Diversity Report, is always looking for individuals to share their articles I have sent her information before but here it is again. This is the website of the Report http://www.americandiversityreport.com/ It is really important for us all to think Globally not just Locally as in today's world one can connect with people anywhere in the world to do business. So what have you been doing to think Globally and expand your networks. One of the things you always here me say is that it's all about SHOWING UP, well I have a great SHOW UP story that happened to me a week ago. Paula Fellingham the CEO of the Win who lives in Utah www.thewinonline.com, sent me an email of an event that was taking place in LA on the Women's Day Live program that Lili Fournier from Canada is doing on March 8, 2011www.womensdayslive.com, .( As you know Paula is also doing an event that day in ten cities to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of International Women's Day more info on this can be found on the Win website.). So I decided to SHOW UP This fantastic event that Lili put together was hosted by Melanie Griffith, Actor, Philanthropist and Shirley MacLaine at Melainie's beautiful Los Angeles Home. It was a first class elegant event and about 50 dynamic women were invited to attend. I met so many wonderful women, Including Melanie and Shirley and really connected with Fern Field, President of Brookfield Productions, Kelly Breaux of Kelly Breaux Fitness, Liona Boyd who is a guitarist, composer, singer and songwriter, aJuliette Youngblood who is connected with Mark Burnette Productions and Deborah J Richardson the Chief Program Officer of Women's Funding Network in San Francisco and so many others. I always say that Showing Up is like a treasure map you never know what treasure you will find and that day I sure met some treasures. I am so blessed as I constantly get to meet wonderful people, and even at this years Emmy's met some new dynamic people who are now my friends. This was my 8th year of attending the Emmy's, and I was thrilled that I got to get in fellow members of my For You/NAFE Murrieta and South Orange County groups, they were: Fannie Green, Sue Lopez from the Murrieta group and Sharon McCoy and TC Leary from my SOC group. It was a new experience for both Sharon and TC and they loved SHOWING UP. Below is another opportunity I just got in from one of my SOC FY/NAFE members Ardice Farrow, so check it out it might be for YOU. Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place to share some information I have on a great opportunity for any small business! Next Productions (a marketing and production company in San Diego) realizes that times are rough and that it is hard for individuals to find work and make ends meat. Because of these sad stories, Next Productions decided to start a contest that would be focused on stimulating the economy by driving sales revenue of local businesses and offering individuals new career paths. The contest is called The VP Contest and it is set up as a marketing/sales competition. The VP Contest is done on a city by city basis. In each city 25 contestants are chosen to take part in the seven week long contest. The winning contestant wins a 100k salaried position or 10k cash prize! Although there is only one grand prize winner, along the way networking is established and experience is gained for all contestants. To provide you with more information, here are some basic details: 1) The contest is seven weeks long 2) Contestants are given a new product each week and are asked to market/promote that item 3) The products that the contestants are given come from sponsors of the contest 4) Any local company can contact Next Productions and ask to be a sponsor 6) Sponsors pay a fee to enter the contest but we offer a 100% guarantee- meaning if the sponsor does not recoup 100% of the money they pay to enter the contest, Next Productions will reimburse them! So basically companies have nothing to lose 7) Sponsors can offer jobs to any contestants (so if one of the contestants markets your brand really well you are welcome to bring them on board your team!) 8) At the end of each week contestants are voted out based on their level of performance 9) Anyone can apply, no marketing experience necessary Because anyone and any company can apply for this contest- it offers a GREAT opportunity for the unemployed, currently unsatisfied employees AND companies in need of promotion. Imagine 25 contestants marketing your company and brand for seven weeks... they could make a really big dent! Another interesting tidbit about this contest is that it is being made into a reality TV pilot. The tv pilot is being made for entertainment purposes, but it also comes with the fact that if it does get picked up, sponsors will be receiving even more publicity because their products will be on TV! If you want though, you can of course opt to be in the contest but not be filmed. The Los Angeles contest starts September 13th at the Luxe Sunset Hotel. For more information visit www.thevpcontest.com So keep SHOWING UP and remember the POWER is in the ASKING. Robbie Motter The Connector
