GREAT PLACE TO SHOW UP...BOOK PUBLICISTS OF SOUTHERN CA MEETINGS....Category: Places to show up Published: Thursday, June 18, 2009 Recently I wrote about how everyone has a BOOK in them and needs to write it ,and share their knowledge and/or experiences with the world. One can start with an E-BOOK which can be as little as 60 pages. June Davidson the President of American Seminar Leaders (ASLA) can show you how easy to do that E-Book as she is an expert in creating them and has helped hundreds publish their E-Books, a sample of some of these books can be found on her www.asla.com website, click on E-Books, her email is juniverse11@aol.com and put in subject line E-Books. You know that I am always SHOWING UP at numerous places and every time I SHOW UP it's like magic , and I get to meet some pretty incredible people. Well I recently SHOWED UP at the Book Publicists of Southern CA meeting at the Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City, CA., as a guest of one of their speakers that night. Her name is Joyce Schwarz and she is the author of THE VISION BOARD, The Secret to An Extraordinary Life published by Harper Collins. She was great and gave us some fantastic information as to why everyone needs to do a vision board. Cook and she is known as The Oracle and her web site is http://theoraclespeaks.info/default.aspx and that is also the name of her book which is great. In addition to being an author she is also an entertainer and has a fantastic voice. I sat next to some wonderful ladies who are now my friends, see what this SHOWING UP can do for you. One is Christine Candland author of the Novel "TOPAZ WOMAN" her web site is www.topazwomanthenovel.com and her email is chriscandland@aol.com she is a dynamic woman and her book which I have a signed copy of is great. Sitting next to me, and now also a new client, (see SHOWING UP) gets you clients as well), was Dianne de la Vega who is the author of "HEAVEN KNOWS ANYTHING GOES" which is a love story that survived death. her web site is www.diannedelavega.com. I also have had the opportunity to read her book which is great, and I am going to be helping her get out in Southern CA and do more book signings and get some PR our for her which is my expertise. I also ran into an old friend there as well Jeraldine Saunders who is the author of the LOVE BOAT. Remember also the MOVIE and the TV Shows called the LOVE BOAT, well it was all based on her book. It was great to reconnect with her. I met her when a doctor client of mine and I helped her with an update of her successful book on Hypoglycemia, which her first book sold over HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of copies, and I am sure the second book has surpassed that. That night she also asked me to ask the doctor if he could help her again update the book. If so she would contact her publisher and see if they would be willing to do an update publishing to include so many more new ways to help for this problem and Dr. Kellas and Dr. Drucker who are my clients that have the Center for Advanced Medicine www.ctradvmed.com in Encinitas, CA are so successful with their patients for all sorts of problems that fly in globally to get help. I also met so many other interesting women. GLORIA PAL who owns Showgirl Press was a famous cover model in the 50's and she is still very attactive and so nice. Her web site is www.gloriapall.com. The meeting was terrific another one of their speakers was Linda Salvin, Ph.D. Who is an author, Radio Talk Host that is heard over the US. She is a spiritual consultant, Psychic, and more her web site is www.lindasalvin.com. All these women are now my new friends and it happened because I SHOWED UP. While there I also learned that a long time friend PAM LONTOS, who owners PR/PR in Florida, www.prpr.net had just written a new book "I SEE YOUR NAME EVERYWHERE" which is a book about leveraging the power of the media to grow your fame, wealth and your success. It's a great book with some great tips for all of us. I first met PAM years ago when she was living in Dallas and she wrote her first book which is great "Don't Tell Me It's Impossible Until After I Have Already Done It" Published by William Morrow & Company" At the time I met her in San Francisco at a large conference she was speaking, which was about 17 years ago I was living in Sacramento. Her talk was so dynamic that I wanted to bring her to Sacramento so the women there could hear what she had to say. I was able to do that, and she was a big hit, and really helped those women to step out and get going. We have remained friends since and she is an awesome women. Remember I met her as well because I SHOWED UP. Anyway I was so impressed with this group that I joined it that night. So if you are an author or want to be an author, a writer and or in PR or are in graphics etc., this is a great group to join, even if you live out of state as many of their members come from all over and many of them are famous and would be great mentors for us all. IRWIN ZUCKER who founded this group in 1976 is great and you can see that he totally cares about all these people, he has had as members over the years, and its apparent they are all fond of him. They are running a special on membership the cost is only $25.00 for a year if you act now, and that includes getting listed in their membership directory . You also receive a copy of the directory as part of your membership fee, and it is packed with lots of names and contact addresses, phone numbers, web sites and emails. They meet 6 times a year in Studio City, CA., and I can tell you this is a great SHOW UP event to be at if you are in Southern CA.
